Founded in 2012 as part of an architecture and design firm, AVUITY initially functioned as the data-driven technology branch. After learning to leverage the insight-led design background of the firm, AVUITY began developing hardware and software to measure workplace usage and glean actionable metrics. Since then, AVUITY has grown into a full data-focused subsidiary, manufacturing sensors and technology to support workplace knowledge. 

Especially following COVID-19 and the switch to a more flexible hybrid work environment for many, AVUITY’s workplace sensors provided invaluable insights on underutilized/overutilized office spaces. To fully capitalize on this opportunity, AVUITY collaborated with AMBI to bring their website a modern refresh and reposition their website’s copy perspective. 

The Problem

AVUITY needed to make a visual statement that defined their identity and placed a strategic plan to convey the value of their product solutions.

AVUITY required a full website redesign and a majority of their site’s copy rewritten to elevate the tone of their content. Instead of a simple product-focused approach, AVUITY wanted to position itself as a thought leader with powerful solution-based technology. That began with a rewriting of the website with valuable SEO research to fully convey their value proposition. 

Additionally, AVUITY's website required a complete overhaul to better showcase them as an industry leader and a global company with competence. The team at AMBI redesigned their website from the ground up from a visual and functionality standpoint to best meet the needs of AVUITY and future clients. With that redesign, the team at AMBI redeveloped their website, developing it from the ground up.

The Task

A Problem/ Solution Focus for a B2B Company

Following collaboration and approval from the AVUITY team, AMBI began the full reconfiguration of their site. Beginning with the copy, AMBI analyzed and reframed the entire tone of the website—altering the language and content to better encapsulate AVUITY’s approach to problem-solving. While much of the structure remained the same, AMBI reframed its perspective, showing the site’s visitors the genius behind implementing AVUITY’s solutions. 

Similarly, the look of the website must reflect the same solutions-based approach. To achieve this, AMBI redesigned the entire site, opting for a sleeker, more technological approach intermingled with starker colors. 

Finally, AVUITY wanted a way to truly show their value to their clients with hard, numerical evidence. To this end, AMBI developed ROI calculators with insights from AVUITY to create complex formulas that would reveal AVUITY’s value. By inputting information like office square footage, company size, and more, clients of AVUITY could see the return on their investment in real-time.

Reframing the AVUITY Narrative

Website Design

Beginning with the look of the site, AMBI upgraded the site to better reflect both AVUITY’s personality and data-driven approach to problem-solving. AMBI’s redesign revealed AVUITY’s competence more thoroughly than its previous site, offering more creativity and personalization to stand out among their competition. A stronger website design also increased its standing as a global brand, capable of handling projects of any size and at any location.

Website Development and ROI Calculators

Beyond traditional coding and development, there were specific areas of AVUITY’s website that required exceptionally specific needs from a design and functionality perspective. AMBI provided exactly the solution their team sought—supplying creative and organized code that streamlined the website’s usage. 

The ROI calculators had more specific requirements—as AMBI worked hand-in-hand with AVUITY to implement formulas and calculations for their site. Following the redevelopment of the sitemap, AMBI’s restructuring gave AVUITY’s users a better understanding of AVUITY’s value.

Copy Development & SEO Research

AMBI refined the language on AVUITY’s site to position it as more of a solution-based company than a product-focused one. While their products provide insights, it is the data they collect that inform actionable changes in an office’s environment. The copy now reflects that change cohesively while infusing it with more character, personality, and search-engine-optimized keywords.

Hero Video

AMBI developed a powerful hero video that properly showcases the depth and intelligence of AVUITY's software and hardware. It effectively visualizes the impact of AVUITY as soon as users land on their home page.

The Results

AVUITY's New Position

After the redesign and rewriting of its site, AVUITY is now far better positioned in its market as a global powerhouse and can better speak to its target audience. Through thorough research, ingenious coding, and powerful design, AVUITY’s message is far clearer than ever before with their expertise displayed front and center for all to see.
